Revive - a healing meditation
Treasured friends,
This new year has started with some harrowing times for a lot of us either directly or indirectly affected by the Bushfires that have decimated our land, our wildlife and our homes.
Many of us have engaged directly through donating time, services, clothes and finances, but many of us are also overwhelmed and not sure what else we could or should be doing.
There is a lot to be said about the healing power of prayer, please don't underestimate it. If you find yourself having a quiet moment please send out a healing prayer to all those affected and to mother earth; her animals, birds and insects.
If you do wish to donate to other fundraising initiatives then please consider the following:
Gippsland Emergency Fire relief
CFA Victoria
Victoria Bushfire Appeal
My gift to you....
For sensitives and those on the front lines this overwhelm can be extreme... with this in mind I have been motivated to record this channelled meditation to help you clear your energy, emotions and mind and to revive your soul. Click here to hear your meditation.
I myself was staying at Raymond Island in the Gippsland and was completely off the grid, no phones, internet or TV. Spirit has an incredible intelligence because over Christmas (prior to any hint of bushfires), while I was swimming in the lakes I was told to make a recording of the water lapping at the lakes shores. I wondered why and received the knowing that it would be used in a future meditation... after returning to Melbourne just before the bushfires peaked I received my answer. The sound of these waves (recorded at Paynesville have been used in my recorded meditation just for you.
My Top 5 summer reads:
Although the fire emergency has been all consuming sometimes it helps to switch off for a while to avoid overwhelm; My favourite down time activity is reading.
For those of us that are fortunate to be able to take some time out to nurture and feed our souls over summer, you may be interested in my list of 5 inspirational reads (in no particular order).
I have included links to buy if you are interested - click on the image to take you to Amazon. These books are ones that I find myself dipping into time and time again and are found in my reference library in my office.
I hope you too may find them beneficial. Many of you know that I am a insatiable reader and if you know of others that have touched your soul drop me a line and let me know. Would love to hear your thoughts..

2. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Paulo Coelho's masterpiece tells the mystical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure. His quest will lead him to riches far different—and far more satisfying—than he ever imagined. Santiago's journey teaches us about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, of recognising opportunity and learning to read the omens strewn along life's path, and, most importantly, to follow our dreams.
3. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.
4. Daring Greatly by Brené Brown
Every time we are introduced to someone new, try to be creative, or start a difficult conversation, we take a risk. We feel uncertain and exposed. We feel vulnerable.
Most of us try to fight those feelings - we strive to appear perfect. But in a powerful new vision Dr. Brené Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability, and dispels the widely accepted myth that it's a weakness. She argues that vulnerability is in fact a strength, and when we shut ourselves off from revealing our true selves we grow distanced from the things that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.
