✨ A Christmas Message From My Heart to Yours ✨
Treasured friends,
As we move toward Christmas, many people feel both the light and the ache of this time of year. The joy of connection, the warmth of tradition, and the beauty of coming together often sit alongside memories, longing, and moments of quiet reflection.
If you’re feeling a mixture of emotions right now, please know this:
you’re not alone, and your feelings deserve space
This is a season to honour connection in all of its forms: connection to loved ones here, loved ones in spirit, and connection to your own soul.
Honouring Loved Ones in Spirit — Meaningfully
If you're looking for simple, heartfelt ways to include your passed loved ones in your celebrations, here are three rituals you might find grounding, comforting and meaningful:
1. Light a Candle With Intention
Choose a moment — Christmas morning, or Christmas Eve — and light a candle for a loved one in spirit. As the flame steadies, speak their name and a share memory you cherish either aloud or in your mind.
It’s a powerful way to acknowledge their continued presence in your life.
2. Create a Small Tribute Space
Place a photo, a flower, or an object that reminds you of them on a small corner table during the holidays or even in your christmas tree.
It becomes a gentle reminder that love continues, and that spirit walks beside us, not behind us.
3. Write Them a Christmas Message
Take a few minutes to write a short message or card to them.
You might share gratitude, something you’ve learned this year, or simply, “I miss you, and you’re still part of my Christmas.”
Place it under the tree, keep it in a journal, or burn it safely as a symbolic release of love and connection.
These gestures are a lovely way to give your grief an anchor — an honouring of how you feel whilst acknowledging life goes on. They remind us that relationships shift, but they don’t end.
One final note, around this season, know that our passed loved ones love to experience the joy and delight of Christmas through your eyes and your feelings. Give yourself permission to enjoy celebrating without guilt, and in doing so, you are also giving your loved ones permission to experience joy in the their world.
A Season of Togetherness — Our Final Meraki Gathering
This time of year always brings me back to the importance of community.
We heal better together. We grow better together. We walk the path with more strength when we’re surrounded by people who see us, support us, and value the same things.
Our final Meraki Gathering for the year will be held on:
✨ Saturday, 14 December | 2pm -4pm
This gathering will include a beautiful mini pop-up Christmas market, where members of our Meraki community are invited to bring along any products, offerings, or services to share. It’s a celebration of creativity, heart, and the generous spirit that defines this group.
If you feel called to join us — or simply to sit in the energy of like-minded souls — I would love to welcome you.
(And as always, if you need guidance, a reading, or support during this season, I’m here. Very gently, very simply.)
With Gratitude From My Heart
As the year comes to a close, I want to pause and thank the many people who walk this path with me.
To my clients — thank you for trusting me with your stories, trusting me with your loved ones, and with your healing.
To my beautiful community — your devotion to growth, truth, and spirit is inspiring beyond words.
To our Meraki helpers — thank you for showing up month after month with love, service, and generosity. Special shout out to Samantha, Jill and Elizabeth 🙏🏻
To Georgina from Cooper and Wild - who has generously supported Meraki's afternoon tea! (Please read below to order your christmas cupcakes or biscuits from her).
To my incredible VA (and best friend!), Michelle — your support, presence, and heart behind the scenes allow so much of this work to reach the world. 💕
And to Spirit — thank you for the privilege of serving, learning, and giving voice to the love that never ends. ✨
Wishing you a Christmas filled with connection, gentleness, and moments that remind you that you are held, guided, and deeply supported.
Affirmation for December:
"May Christmas Angels surround me, my family & friends, and my community with connection, love and peace"
Brightest blessings,
Ioanna xx
