The power of prayer
Harry Edwards Healing Prayer
Recently I had to visit a family member in hospital and historically I have found hospitals to be overwhelming, especially for a sensitive like me. I am sure many of you feel the same way.
On this occasion, I decided that I would say a healing prayer before I entered the hospital. My prayer went something like this:
"I ask for the healing ministry of Angels to please walk ahead of me and fill this entire hospital with healing energy, thoughts and prayers. May all those that enter this hospital, work within this hospital or are being treated in this hospital receive this healing energy so that they feel at peace, and the recovery is for their highest benefit."
and then I let go of all expectations. I found my journey through the busy lobby was easy, I smiled at people and then proceeded to visit with my family member to give them some hands on healing.
On the way out, thinking about the expensive parking fees, I was accosted by a very tall, dark skinned youth, with a high vis vest on. His opening remark to me was "I just worked out that these can be used as weapons" as he showed me his metal drink bottle.
I was momentarily startled by the comment especially with the high youth crime in the area and replied "Are you ok? Are you having a bad day?", as we both continued walking towards the car park.
He told me that he was sick of people yelling at him and complaining at work. I stopped walking and once again looked at him in his eyes and replied "You are doing a fabulous job don't let others negativity affect you. Just let it bounce off and stay in your bubble of bliss".and then i smiled at him.
He looked really amazed and slightly bewildered at my response; then he said to me "I am the parking attendant here and I'm going to give you a free parking ticket".
My healing prayer had a flow on effect that changed his whole mood and no doubt those that he interacted with for the rest of the day and I was rewarded with a free parking ticket; but my biggest reward was looking into his eyes and seeing the healing change in him.
Never underestimate the power of prayer and know that you can ask in your own words, you don't to belong to a particular religion - the universe is always listening!

Last year I had the honour of visiting The Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary In Surrey, UK, dedicated to the renowned healer Harry Edwards.
Harry was an incredible healer who dedicated his life to healing and his legacy lives on through the foundation.
I have found this beautiful man always helps even from the other side; if you are needing some healing in your life right now, please do ask for his assistance and I have included his own healing prayer below for you. The language of the prayer is indicative of his era but the energy and sentiment remains relevant even today.
"May I be thankful for the blessings I already have. Grant me relief from pain and sickness, protect me from all ills and grant me good health in the days to come.
Remove all causes of imperfection and bring Thy healing ministers close to me that I may be conscious of their presence and so receive guidance and inspiration.
Grant me courage and fortitude to overcome all adversity. Let me be conscious of Thy strength in all times of need. Grant me confidence to overcome my fears and not to anticipate harm.
Teach me how to live rightly in Thy sight, to only do that which is right and true. I pray that good guidance and right influencing will inspire all Thy peoples to be as brothers, one to the other, and that peace shall endure for all time."
